Knowing that with costs skyrocketing many people are feeling the bite this year, clergyman, James, had decided to give something back to his community in the hopes of being able to make a positive difference to at least some of the lives around him.
So, last week, with the intention of helping people connect with one another and giving them a reason to smile, he opened his church up to locals. Everyone was welcome to come along for an afternoon of activities, and thanks to generous donations from his congregants, James was even able to provide everyone with a warm meal, which was served by our Hog Roast Pennywell team.
Our catering manager, Jarrod, was really glad that James had chosen Hog Roast Pennywell for this event, and he worked with the client to find the most suitable menu for the occasion. The menu James eventually decided on was our Classic Hog Roast spread, which is extremely popular for a number of reasons.
As well as providing an authentic hog roast experience, complete with all of the drama and splendour that you would expect from a meal such as this, the sumptuous meat is served with a variety of rolls which makes for a convenient dining experience for guests. We also include a selection of sides, which adds extra flavour to the main meal, and our veggie/vegan option ensures that no one feels left out. And, with the affordable price point, the Classic Hog Roast menu is a great choice for all budgets!
James was really happy with the menu he had chosen and was amazed by the value for money Hog Roast Pennywell offers. He was even more amazed when Jarrod and the team arrived early on the morning of the event to make sure that everything was ready in time for the guests arriving.
More than 200 people of all ages and backgrounds turned up to the event, and Hog Roast Pennywell had made more than enough food for everyone! Our exceptional menu was the ideal ice-breaker for the guests – most of whom had never met before – and it helped everyone to loosen up and feel more relaxed.
James couldn’t thank Jarrod and the team enough for their help with his event. But before Hog Roast Pennywell headed for home, the client had one final request: he asked us to parcel up the leftovers so that he could donate them to a homeless shelter, which our team were more than happy to do.
