Meeting new customers is always exciting, but when a client enjoys working with you so much that they make you a regular fixture in their calendar, you know you must be doing something right!

At Hog Roast Northumberland, we’re lucky to have plenty of regulars in our books who know they can always count on us to make their events feel special, and earlier this month, we were delighted to return for one of our favourite annual get-togethers.
Every year around this time, Emily, the director of Halton Grove, hosts a fantastic event at the spectacular mini-estate nestled in the Northumberland countryside. It’s become something of a tradition – one we look forward to just as much as Emily and her guests do. So, naturally, we were thrilled to be invited back for another year, with our signature hog roast on the menu once again.
There is one little twist that makes this particular booking different from your average Hog Roast Northumberland event, though. Emily is actually an executive chef by profession, so she knows her way around a kitchen better than most! And rather than handing the entire catering operation over to us, she prefers to take charge of the rest of the food herself, leaving our team to handle the main attraction. It’s an arrangement that works brilliantly, allowing Emily to put her own culinary skills to good use while we provide a hearty centrepiece to bring everything together. And with her delicious creations to accompany our hog roast, there’s certainly no shortage of choice for guests!

Of course, knowing that we have a regular spot at Halton Grove doesn’t mean we take the occasion any less seriously. Hog Roast Northumberland’s catering manager, Martin, was delighted to return and set about preparing a whole free-range hog for the event, making sure everything was just as delicious as Emily and her guests have come to expect. Slow-roasted to achieve beautifully tender, juicy meat, with plenty of golden, crispy crackling to go around, it was the perfect centrepiece for the occasion. Served in soft rolls and ready for guests to tuck into, it was a simple crowd-pleaser that needed little introduction.
With our hog roast sitting alongside Emily’s own impressive spread, guests were treated to a wonderful variety of food, making it easy for everyone to find something they fancied.
It’s always rewarding to see our catering complement someone else’s hard work so well – especially when we get to return to a venue and client we know and love.
