Lovebirds Alice and Shane tied the knot in a dreamy ceremony on Saturday afternoon – and can you guess who had the privilege of catering for their special day? If you guessed Hog Roast Chirnside, you’d, of course, be right!
Our team had been gearing up for the special occasion for months after first being approached by the couple back in January.
They had their hearts set on a traditional wedding and, having done their research on us, they had been keen to have us serve the Formal Wedding Catering With Evening Buffet Menu, which is by far our most extravagant catering plan for weddings!
Hog Roast Chirnside’s catering manager, Jarrod, was absolutely elated to be in charge of this service and promised not to let the couple down. Working closely with Alice and Shane as their big day approached, he customised the menu to suit their tastes, which guaranteed them a wedding feast that matched all of their criteria.
On the day of the wedding, the Hog Roast Chirnside team started their morning bright and early. At the crack of dawn, they travelled to the country manor house venue, where they promptly got started on preparations for the meal, which was to include five canapé options, a three-course feast with side dishes and a wedding cake service with tea and coffee, followed by a buffet in the late evening.
With time of the essence, Hog Roast Chirnside worked tirelessly to get everything ready in time, and as always, they pulled it off! When the guests arrived, they were served a glass of champagne or fresh orange juice by our waiting staff, along with a choice of canapes.
Soon after the guests had found their seats and had polished off the appetisers, Hog Roast Chirnside served the handmade soup starter with crusty bread rolls and butter, which was followed by a choice of our traditional hog roast, free-range roast chicken or grilled vegetable skewers with a mix of salads, coleslaw and dauphinoise potatoes.
The main meal was brought to a close with wedding cake and hot beverages, as well as dessert options of sticky toffee pudding and vacherins of strawberries and passion fruit cream!
Everyone loved the food, and for the big finale, Hog Roast Chirnside treated the guests to a selection of hot bacon and sausage barms before they called it a night, which went down a storm!
