This New Year’s Eve saw the Hog Roast South Shields team rushed off their feet as they helped clients up and down the country start the year off right with one of our delicious menus, and one of the last events we catered for before saying goodbye to 2019, was a busy family get-together that had been organised by one of our regular clients, Marcus. As an avid meat-lover, Marcus has tried almost everything from our range of elaborate menus and for this occasion, he was keen for us to serve the festive feast that he had been seeing so much of on our social media channels in the run-up to the Christmas period
Having invited 110 of his closest friends and family members to the highly-anticipated end-of-year gathering, Marcus had decided to hire out a spacious function hall from one of the local clubs for the night. With so much to prepare before the guests made an appearance at 9 pm, the Hog Roast South Shields team packed up the catering van with an abundance of locally sourced produce and travelled to the venue where they arrived with hours to spare before the party kicked off.
Banding together, the Hog Roast South Shields catering crew effortlessly prepared an irresistible feast of traditional mince pies, creamy cauliflower cheese, pigs in blankets, a seasonal vegetable medley and savoury stuffing which complemented the main attraction of the crispy and golden hog roast perfectly. Arriving guests hovered around the buffet table in anticipation as the team added the finishing touches to the spread by laying out the gluten-free rolls, wraps and cutlery and carving up the juicy meat.
Finally, the wait was over for the ravenous guests and eager to try a little bit of everything from the menu, they filled their plates with mountainous portions of the mouth-watering grub which quickly became the talk of the evening! Marcus in particular was so impressed with the festive menu that we had prepared and by the time the countdown to the new year began, everyone was in agreement that Hogmanay is always better when Hog Roast South Shields is involved.
