Recently, we had the pleasure of catering a beautiful hen party luncheon for bride-to-be Christie, who was looking for a sophisticated (and delicious) way to celebrate with her friends and family. She’d reserved the risqué party antics for the evening, but the afternoon was all about a chic and relaxed luncheon with her family and friends at her parents’ gorgeous countryside home. With her mum and future mother-in-law in attendance, she knew the vibe needed to be classy and welcoming. That’s where we came in with our Hog Roast Dining Experience to bring some serious flavour (and style) to the table! Hog Roast Amble arrived early to set up and prepare an unforgettable spread of flavours that would suit everyone’s tastes. The luncheon began with five varieties of carefully crafted canapés, including smoked Scottish salmon, roasted halloumi and tomato crostini, mini quiches, chicken satay skewers, and chicken liver parfait.
For the main event, Hog Roast Amble served whole-roasted, free-range chicken with homemade sage and onion stuffing, chipolata sausages, handmade gourmet sausages, and juicy beef burgers. Meanwhile, for the vegetarians, we added grilled vegetable and halloumi kebabs served with tzatziki and flatbreads. We also provided an array of sides to round out the meal, including a heritage tomato and buffalo mozzarella salad, coleslaw, classic Caesar salad, and a guest favourite—dauphinoise potatoes. By the time the food was ready, Christie and her mom had decorated the garden with a spacious gazebo, stylish dining furniture, and festive bridal decor, creating an idyllic setup for the hen party luncheon.
As the guests arrived, they were instantly captivated by the beautiful presentation and tantalising aromas. The atmosphere was lively and cheerful as everyone eagerly filled their plates. Compliments poured in as the guests enjoyed each flavourful dish, and it was clear that the luncheon was a massive hit. To top off the meal, we served a selection of indulgent desserts, including profiteroles and rich chocolate tortes—an absolutely perfect finale to a fabulous feast! As the party wound down, our team cleared up and presented any remaining food as grazing platters, allowing guests to snack at their leisure, while Christie and her friends prepared for a night on the town!
