An eventful week we have had serving our delicious food to customers around the UK. The beginning of the week was hectic we were in our hometown Chillingham catering for a school open evening and it was out door and snowing! We were stunned to say the least and thought we had seen the last of the snow how wrong we were! Burgers in buns, chicken strip wraps were on the menu washed down with cream of mushroom soup and jacket potatoes we were so cold setting up shop but once the machines were turned on we were on fire! Mid week we travelled south to a lovely country public house it was the landlords 50th birthday and we were catering for a pub full of regulars we set up our equipment in the lounge area and soon it was filled with guests all asking us questions about hog roasting which as usual we were keen to answer. We set the table with our very best silver platters and filled them with hog roast Chillingham pork, crackling and pots of apple sauce, chicken, stuffing and lamb and duck we filled the tables with salad and buns and large containers of gravy all made from the natural juices of the meats. The landlord had a great night and we did too and were served lots of free drinks, which we drank after the cooking of course and our poor driver had to stick to fruit juice, shame! Tomorrow we are catering for a small gathering it is for the lady’s group at our local church catering for forty but we might as well be catering for four hundred as the effort we put into each event is just the same. We are making lunch chicken, garlic butter new potatoes, courgette and butternut squash, served with lots of rich gravy. March has proven to be so busy more than we ever expected and are fully booked for April and May orders are coming in every day now and through our great reputation we are growing from strength to strength Hog roast hire enjoy a challenge and here to take your call seven days a week…
