It’s 2023, January is in full flow, and we at Hog Roast Filey have had events firing on all cylinders with excellent hog roast catering once again. After a brief break at the holidays, it’s good to be back doing what we love!
There’s no better way to get back into the swing of things than firing right into events again as they come in thick and fast. From our incredible anniversary dinner celebrating 50 years of love between two long-time Hog Roast Filey customers, to a baptismal party and a launch day for a new local business start-up, we’re back on our feet cooking and serving!
Colin and Margaret have been two of our most avid fans for quite some time at Hog Roast Filey. It is always a pleasure to serve them. We were of course most delighted then when we received a call from Colin in Autumn last year to put in an order for one of the most important events that he will ever hold with us. Since 1973 the two have been inseparable, and so with 2023 they looked to celebrate their incredible 50 years together with friends, family, and the Hog Roast Filey team. Margaret has always loved our hog roast, but Colin has always been more of a lamb roast man, so our anniversary buffet consisted of both along with plenty of freshly prepared sides, salads, veggie jackfruit options, rolls and wraps, and potatoes every which way imaginable. We even had Colin’s favourite home baked cheesecake to put the cherry on top an incredible celebration 50 years in the making.
As two lives celebrate the passage of time together, another Hog Roast Filey event celebrated the mere beginnings of one life. Hog Roast Filey also attended a baptismal event for after the baptism where friends and family could mingle and enjoy a buffet meal on us. Our fresh pulled pork, chicken skewers, and BBQ pulled jackfruit were the perfect option for such an event, along with homemade coleslaw, fresh seasonal veggies, roast potatoes and potato dauphinoise. Two very different events, but two equally well served groups of guests celebrating life! What better a way to get the Hog Roast Filey year going!
