The weekend was over far to quickly we had such fun catering and we really did not want the weekend to end! Saturday evening we were north catering for an Engagement party, the event was being held in a local public house and we were catering for three hundred the bbq plate was called for as burgers and bangers were on the menu. Hog roast were cooking beef burgers, sausage and chicken burgers along with a stir fry and some vegetable kebabs. We arrived an hour before the event was due to begin this gave us plenty of time to get organised it takes us longer to unpack the food than it does to cook it, the buns alone took up a lot of the room in the van and they were still nice and warm as they had just been baked our van smelt wonderful just like a baker shop! We placed everything at the ready and made some salad and placed all the sauces and dips on the table, the couple arrived and we stood chatting and explained the food they seemed very impressed and then they waited a the doors to greet the guests as they arrived. Soon the room was packed and it was time to get the food cooking it takes literally minutes as the machines are so powerful and high tech it really is a joy to cook on the bbq plate a great little invention and a useful one at that. We were soon knee high in burger and buns and the food was disappearing fast we were soon in a hot sweat and then the rush quietened down as everyone sat to enjoy their food. We all had a nice glass of orange juice and it went down so well it was extremely hot and we were so grateful when one of the guys opened the huge doors just wish we had of thought of that earlier! Soon the music was playing and everyone was up on their feet and we even had a little dance too! we left feeling full of life and raring to go it really put us in the party spirit one of the best nights we have had in a long time.
