Hog Roast Hexham – A Magical Belated Wedding Reception!

Hog Roast HexhamIf there’s one thing we’ve learned over the years, it’s that no two weddings are exactly alike. Every couple brings their own style, personality, and flair to the table – literally!

Some go all out with grand ballrooms, chandeliers, and hundreds of guests, while others opt for intimate and more relaxed affairs. No matter how you choose to celebrate, there’s no right or wrong way to say “I do.” And at Hog Roast Hexham, we love being part of the magic, making sure your wedding feast is just as unforgettable as the big day itself.

With wedding season near, our team has been buzzing with excitement, catering celebrations across the North East. Every weekend brings a new love story, a new venue, and a new set of hungry guests ready to dig into a delicious spread.

One of our recent events was Christine and Shaun’s belated wedding reception. The couple had tied the knot in a secret ceremony earlier in the year and after the honeymoon bliss wore off, they decided to share the joy with their nearest and dearest. So, they planned a laid-back gathering with 70 guests at a stunning industrial-style venue on the waterfront. The exposed brick, soft lighting, and scenic views created the perfect backdrop for an evening of laughter, love, and seriously good food.

For the occasion, Christine and Shaun chose Hog Roast Hexham’s Alfresco Menu, and we couldn’t have been happier to serve up a feast worthy of their celebration. At the heart of the feast was our spectacular hog roast, slow-cooked to perfection until the meat was so tender it practically fell apart at the touch. The crispy, golden crackling was a salty, crunchy dream, perfectly complemented by sage and onion stuffing and a dollop of applesauce.

Hog Roast HexhamTo balance out the spread, we served up crisp coleslaw, fresh salads, and roasted new potatoes, along with a BBQ-pulled jackfruit option for the non-meat-eaters. Plus each table was centered by charcuterie boards, piled high with Italian meats, cheeses, fresh bread, and juicy grapes for the guests to graze on.

To top it all off, Hog Roast Hexham finished with an irresistible selection of cheesecake and chocolate torte – both of which disappeared almost as soon as they hit the plates.

The verdict? A resounding success! Christine and Shaun were over the moon, and their guests couldn’t stop raving about the food.
