Cheers to Great Beer and Delicious Food: A Hog Roast Celebration at a Local Brewery

If you love hoppy IPAs, traditional ales, or velvety stouts, the North East is your ultimate beer haven! With over 240 local brewers crafting everything from crisp lagers to complex porters, the region is a treasure trove of taprooms and breweries. Last week, Hog Roast Newcastle had the privilege of diving into this vibrant scene at one of its standout gems.

Hog Roast NewcastleTo kick off the new year in style, a beloved independent brewery threw open its doors for an open day that beer lovers won’t soon forget. The occasion celebrated their newest craft beer release with a lineup of treats that could make any beer enthusiast’s heart sing. Guests enjoyed a behind-the-scenes tour of the brewery, generous samples of the latest brews, and the rare chance to pick the brains of the skilled brewers behind the magic. But it wasn’t all about the beer—there was something equally tempting sizzling away: a hog roast feast, courtesy of yours truly!

Our Hog Roast Newcastle team was thrilled to cater this lively event, and the atmosphere was electric. People were in high spirits as they tucked into our signature hog roast rolls. Served on gluten-free buns, each roll was loaded with tender pulled pork, crispy crackling, savoury stuffing, and a dollop of applesauce – the perfect pairing with a cold pint.

Hog Roast NewcastleWe didn’t stop there. A mix of sweet potato and traditional fries rounded out the plates, complete with a DIY station for vinegar, salt, pepper, and sauces. The feedback was phenomenal. People couldn’t stop raving about the flavours, and our crackling earned legendary status among the crowd. Several guests came back for extra servings, and their enthusiasm fueled our own. And, as if the day couldn’t get any better, the brewery sweetened the deal with exclusive discounts on their newest beer release.

Overall, the day was a huge triumph. The guests were entertained, well-fed, and thoroughly impressed with the hospitality, food, and, of course, the beers on offer. It was a brilliant way to ring in the new year, and Hog Roast Newcastle can’t wait to be part of more events like this one in the future
