One important part of running a charity is making sure that you give thanks to the staff and volunteers that work hard to make a difference. Some great ways to do this are by giving praise and feedback regularly and hosting events to thank your staff periodically. For any kind of event catering, Hog Roast Netherwitton has a menu that is ideal for the occasion!
Rachel is a member of a charity named The Roost and she recently contacted Hog Roast Netherwitton to arrange catering for their upcoming event. The event was being hosted as a way to share their journey as a charity so far and to show off what they have been up to during the harvest season. The charity works with young people across the North East to provide them with positive activities to help them to value the outdoors and to meet new people. This is an incredibly valuable service and one that should definitely be celebrated! For the event, our catering manager Jarrod was hired to provide a classic hog roast for the occasion, and it was sure to go down a treat.
On the day of the event, Jarrod and his team arrived at the venue with plenty of time to repaper for the 5:00pm serving time. We began by preparing the hog, which was ideal for serving the 50 guests. The meat was carved by our expert chef and served in fresh bread rolls, alongside sage and onion stuffing, homemade applesauce, and crispy crackling. For meat-free guests, we also served grilled vegetable and halloumi skewers. This created a delicious buffet meal and had something for all 50 guests to enjoy!
