The only thing more exciting than a birthday party is a birthday party with a theme, am I right? And lucky for our team here at Hog Roast Whitley Bay, we were recently hired by Sandra to help out at a country and western style 40th b-day bash at her private residence nearby!
We had an absolute blast catering for this event, and we’re pleased to share that the guests had an epic time as well! With plenty of space to make use of, Sandra had been able to organise lots of entertainment for them to enjoy on this occasion, which included line dancing and a bucking bronco that was provided by the Double Deckers Entertainments company. There was even a swimming pool, which many of the guests made full use of!
Of course, Hog Roast Whitley Bay’s job was to answer the calls of growling stomachs with our tantalising Menu 3, which is one of our most popular menus by far. Our devoted catering managers, Jarrod and Cody, were at the head of this event, and on the day of the party, they treated Sandra’s 70 guests to a sumptuous slow-roasted pig with sides of crackling, sage and onion stuffing, applesauce, new potatoes and scrumptious fries. Gluten-free rolls and wraps were also served in baskets for the guests to dig into, and veggie and vegan attendees were given an alternative option of grilled vegetable skewers with tzatziki dip and flatbreads.
The party kicked off in the early evening, and by 7:30 pm, Hog Roast Whitley Bay had opened the buffet for everyone to help themselves. Sandra and the guests thoroughly enjoyed the food available. Each dish was served on wooden crockery with matching bamboo cutlery, which matched the rustic theme perfectly.
We’re really pleased that Sandra picked Hog Roast Whitley Bay to help her out with this event, and by the end of the night, our team had been showered with glowing compliments from the client, the host and the attendees, who thoroughly enjoyed every morsel of the yummy food that our team had worked so hard to create!
