November is turning out to be a busy month, with a big fireworks party at a rugby club last week, several weddings, trading at the fab Orange Pip food market and a visit to gorgeous Crook Hall in Durham.
We love catering at Crook Hall – it’s a beautiful place with a medieval hall and stunning garden, and the staff there are great – so organised, efficient and helpful. We’ve been there many times – including once when we created an authentic medieval feast for one couple’s big day! On that occasion we served: Traditional Hog Roast Durham Whole Suckling Pig, Rib of beef with medieval sauce, Whole roasted chickens, Platters of cold meat & terrines, Half cheeses with pickled vegetables, Roasted root vegetables, Loaves of crusty bread on boards for guests to tear and baskets of fruit. The bride and groom, Rick and Sophie, and their guests were thrilled with the Hog Roast Durham feast and we really enjoyed creating something different.
Looking forward to returning to Crook Hall later this month to cater for a wedding, and again for several bookings in 2017….
