Well it’s been another busy & varied couple of months here at Spitting Pig North East….
We’ve catered for weddings in marquees, Tipis, hotels, back gardens & village halls; a Hillbilly BBQ; 21st, 50th & 90th birthday & wedding anniversary parties; a camping party, Family Fun Day, Builders’ lunch, golf tournament, astronomy/stargazing night, & a Sailing do! Phew!! It’s been great to re-visit many returning customers, and to meet lots of new friends. We’ve catered at three tipi weddings this summer – see our photos of one at Riverdale Hall Hotel where we served our Gourmet Hog Roast, in Bellingham – our fabulous slow-roasted, rare-breed hog with freshly-baked bread, sage & onion stuffing, apple sauce & plates of our amazing crackling, plus herb-buttered new potatoes & salads. It’s our most popular menu & always goes down really well. The bride & groom also opted for our slow-roasted beef in rich gravy, as an additional meat choice. Our hog roast in Bellingham had plenty of leftover meat, bread & potatoes, which we left on buffet tables for guests to help themselves to as the party continued into the night. No room for a breather as we look forward to a busy October weekend!
