On this day, Hog Roast Nunthorpe provided a ‘half and half’ – we roasted a hog for hours on-site and also barbecued our own handmade burgers (100% beef, no less) and chef’s own sausages nearer the time of service. We also cooked our herby new potatoes and had a ‘build a burger’ station where the guests could add the toppings of their choice, which proved a hit, especially with the young players, as they could add ingredients like cheese, coleslaw, tomatoes and lettuce, and leave out the things they didn’t like.
There was some excellent interactive fun at this party and the guests wisely enjoyed the bucking bronco before tucking into our yummy food!
The junior players, staff and other guests clearly loved the hog roast and barbecued food as it was all wolfed down, with only empty plates in sight afterwards, and we enjoyed plenty of lovely compliments from all ages.
